In this video I show you the LCD active glasses in action for DCI 3D digital cinema. In this case, the Xpand 3D glasses old and new are demonstrated.
I demonstrate how they work in a cinema, showing them in action.
I also cover some of the advantages and disadvantages of this system compared to others.

Hi,

Is there any 3D standard?

The 3D they use in most Cinemas particularly the IMAX, will that be the standard of the future? Is this 3D adaptable to Hi Def LCD screens or is one completely different to the other?

I am looking for a set of 3D glasses that don’t have rims that create glare and are comfortable like cushioned wrap around goggles that can be used in cinemas.

Is there a 2D to 3D convertor available using the linear polarising technology or XpanD technology?

Will await your advices in due course.

Regards,

Dan
