CinemaCon 2011 – 10 – Perforated Screen with Severtson

Perforated screens or screens with small holes in them so the sound can pass through with less destortion, can be a major problem in the digital age.  The perforated pattern and the pixel grid in the projector can interfere producing a visible moire pattern on screen.

Ron from Severtson Screens tells us how we can deal with these issues.

We’d like to see this short clip of Ron and the article above. One of our guys saw it and sent it to us but it was already gone. Our site said: http://www.d-cine.net/cinetechgeek/CinemaCon2011_Perf_Screens_itunes. It does not come thru anymore.

Thats strange, it just worked for me.. This page does not work on an apple iDevice. Try looking at http://www.youtube.com/cinetechgeek. All the videos are there too.
