Qube cinema shows us the new DCI player, the DX20, a collaboration between Qube and DTS. Rajesh also shows us Qube Master Express to convert general media files into DCP files compatible with d-cinema (DCI) media players.

DTS and Qube join forces to create the DC20 SMS (Screen managemant system) or DCI media player.  This ads to DTS work in the TMS (Theatre management system) area.

Showest – DTS – MasterImage 3D

Sperling from DTS shows us the MasterImage 3D system. This system uses polarising filters by using a spinning wheel in front of the DCI projector lens.  It can be moved from projector to projector.  It requires a silver screen like all Polarising 3D system.  It also  makes use of the inexpensive/disposable 3D glasses.

At Showest this year QSC introduces their new Audio processor, the DCP-300.  A very impressive unit with more options and integration that I could have ever imagines for a sound system.

In brief – A Cinema Processor, Booth Monitor and Digital Crossover along with network
control and monitoring of DSP, amplifiers and speakers in one integrated package.

Showest – USL – Captioning

USL was showing of some new products current and in development for use in closed captions.  Closed captioning will soon be government mandated in many parts of the world.   As a cinema exhibitor, these new products are something you should be aware of.
