CRU-Dataport is the standard way for sending DCI-DCP’s (Films in the DCI digital format) around via Hard Drive.  The CRU-Dataport system has been adopted by all (SMS) DCI-player manufactuer.  This allows you to plug the drive directly into the Player usig ualtra fast SATA interface to import/ingest the DCP onto the player.  Or in an emergancy, play the DCP directly of the hard drive.

A common issue overlooked by cinema owners when installing DCI cinema kit is the tools required for upkeep.  This video covers tools from USL that answer this need and hopefully help the cinema owner understand some of the ongoing costs and why they exist.

This video covers

  • Projection Color Analyzer orspot meter (PCA-100)  for colour calibration of a DCI projector
  • Video Convergence Camera (VCC-100) for aligning the RGB DMD/DLP chips on a DCI projector
  • Projection System Analyzers(PSA-200U)
