Digital Signage is a growing area of the premium cinema experience. Barco is working hard to “feed the beast” that is your digital signage system. Typically after installing systems like this, exhibitors underestimate the effort and costs of keeping it up to date. In this video I talk with Jim Maloney from Barco to discuss how they are tackling this problem. They have agreements with the studios to repurpose their content for their solution. Using critical mass of all their clients and commonality of their system to make it cost effective.
